About the artist

CSCape has lived in the North East of England for the past twelve years absorbing the atmosphere near the coast.

CS paints to music and creates paintings mainly in oil that sing, using an extravagant palette of rich colours which are an expression of her mood and the music.

Whether painting industry, landscapes or seascapes CS is fascinated with light. Living next to the industries that used to be the life and soul of the area has influenced CSCape's daily surroundings. Even though many of the buildings have been decommissioned CS still loves the magnificence of the buildings and the way that light falls on the structures and the steam.

Following the edict of Van Gogh, CS - instead of trying to record what she sees, she uses colour to arbitrarily express her feelings forcibly.

CS's paintings hang in the USA, England, Scotland, Canada, France and Israel.

CS was recently commissioned to supply 6 paintings to a multi-million pound pub conversion in Hartlepool.

CS happily expresses herself on large and small canvasses.
